La huitieme semaine (8)

This week has been pretty depressing honestly, that homesickness phase has finally found me and now small things can start mini works. At school I feel fine for the most part, I  keep reminding myself what an awesome opportunity I am having and how lucky I am, being around such positive friends helps a lot. To future exchange students, I think it’s vital to find a group of friends that actually appreciates your company and looks out for you even when you have trouble communicating and can be a little moody, because if they have that patience, they are your true friends. Seeing my host family hugging and play fighting is particularly hard because it makes me picture how I always did that. I think I miss my mum’s hugs the most though. My host family are really good about it and on Sunday Louise did arts and crafts with me to help keep me distracted, that’s the key I think; to keep busy. Even though I am sad now I find that re reading my posts of how a great time I have been having is a good reminder of how awesome this is and I can’t let these feelings push me down. I just hope they don’t hang around for long. There’s not much else to be said really, school has restarted which should keep me nice and busy;)

  2. Yep, hang in there kiddo – remember how homesick you used to get??? You have already done amazingly well and it was bound to hit at sometime. Keep up your sense of humour, eat lots of yummy chocolate and cheese and keep writing – we love reading your blogs. I’ll save some hugs for you as well xoxoxo.

      1. Pleased you got to see me at my most wonderful best on Sat morning!:) Good to talk to you and I hope this week has been better. We had massive floods up the valley on Sunday, sun shining today – you can look forward to summer while we have only got a wet and miserable winter to look forward to.
