Food poisoning and my birthday! yayay

Week 40

Throughout Sunday to Tuesday the toilet was my new best friend, we really got to know each other well(inside and out XD). I’d started feeling unwell on Friday after my friends and I went out to eat as we all had a free period together. From there it just went went downhill. I got lucky however and felt just about right for my birthday on Wednesday.

My birthday was awesome! When I arrived at school I was nearly suffocated by my friends who basically jumped on me, hugging me and singing happy birthday! This happened multiple times throughout the day – even by people I didn’t even know! I only have one class on Wednesdays so I spent the morning moseying about and chilling with other kids who had free periods. I skyped the parentals quickly and had a good laugh with them, then after my only class; maths, all my friends (Virginia, Caro, Floriane, Ilona and Anna) and I went the bakery and bought enough pastries, tarts, baguettes and cake to feed Astrix and Obilix.

We left school and went to the garden by the cathedral and pigged out to the max – it was perfect:) One of my friends had taken a candle and put it in a slice of black forest cake that I’d bought and lit it, everyone sang happy birthday in French, English and German! Even though I’d told them not to, my friends still got me some gifts: From Ilona- a lovely handmade necklace pendant, from Caroline- a awesome t shirt with woman on it, and from Virginia – a gorgeous dress that fits really well (no idea how she knew my size). They all wrote really nice cards too, and we got pretty emotional knowing that I wouldn’t be staying here much longer.

Afterwards we all went to Ilona’s house and pigged out yet again on the choux that her mum had made just for me! They are my absolute favourite!

My host family bought me a watch that I’d been eyeing at the mall for some time now, and I recieved a parcel stuffed with fluffy socks from Mum and Dad which honestly made my day (I looove fluffy socks), a lovely neclace from my aunts, a card from Luisa and way to much money from Granddad and my Aunts!

My host family didn’t do a cake or anything because after my food poisoning where I wasn’t eating, they weren’t sure if it was a good idea. I didn’t mind though, my friends had already done it. In the end it was a great birthday filled with lots of laughs:)
