La trente-neuvième semaine (39)

This week ticked along rather nicely. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were quite hard because of all the funeral preparations and not being there with my family. But fortunately I got to hear the Eulegy my dad wrote when he skyped me, and I read a funny poem that my cousins wrote about him – they were both awesome!

Gwen and I spent a lot of time together this week, we hung out and chilled in each others rooms, played games and goofed around, it felt pretty cool knowing that she see’s me as a sister like figure (and not an annoying one thank goodness). School has been going well as well, I’m struggling a lot in SVT (Earth science) because the french is really hard and even with translations I don’t understand it. But the other subjects (besides french) are going really well and at this point I can do the same work as everyone else. Elizabeth has been an awesome at home, helping me when I don’t understand homework.

I had my last flute lesson today, and it’s making me realise how close to the end of exchange I am – only one month left! This year has zoomed by, and I am dreading the thought of leaving, but at the same time I can’t wait to go home and see the scenery of NZ -the mountains, forests and farms – that’s what I miss the most.
